Do-it-yourself tax class offered by Tax Commission through Boise Community Education
BOISE, IDAHO — Jan. 13, 2011 — Tormented by tax forms? Now’s your chance to learn how to fill out a standard Idaho income tax return.
The Idaho State Tax Commission is offering a one-time class called “How to Prepare Idaho Individual Tax Returns” through the Boise School District’s Community Education Program. It will provide step-by-step instructions on how to fill out Idaho Forms 40 and 39R, the two forms used most often by Idaho income tax filers who prepare their own returns.
The class is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2011. It will be held at Timberline High School, and is open to all Treasure Valley residents. The instructor is Susan Foster, a certified public accountant and taxpayer services specialist who also teaches monthly classes for new business owners at the Tax Commission’s Boise office.
There is a $15 fee for the class. Registration is available online at www.boiselearns.org or in person at the Boise School District Community Education Office, 8169 W. Victory Rd., Boise, ID 83709, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Registrations can also be mailed using the printed form in the Boise Community Education catalog distributed throughout the Treasure Valley.
