Idaho Falls man ordered to file income tax returns
BOISE, IDAHO — April 14, 2011 — Seventh District Court Judge Jon J. Shindurling has ordered an Idaho Falls man to file Idaho tax returns for four years in which his reported income totaled more than $282,000, according to the Idaho State Tax Commission.
Judge Shindurling issued an order to compel Anthony Chad Vollman to file tax returns for 2006 through 2009. Vollman has until May 15 to comply with the judge’s order.
“It’s unfortunate that the state has to spend taxpayer money on court action to get some people to file their tax returns,” said Tax Commissioner David Langhorst, “but it’s only fair to law-abiding Idahoans who file their returns.”
Court files show that Vollman had income of $80,893 for 2006; $67,182 for 2007; $76,979 for 2008; and $57,575 for 2009.
The Tax Commission is being represented in this case by Deputy Attorney General William von Tagen.
